Law Clerk
Marcus graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law, where he earned membership to the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society, the Certificate in Public Interest law, and the Dean's Community Service Award. He was senior editor of the Journal of the Legal Profession, Vol. 46 and served two years as a Student Bar Association senator on behalf of his graduating class. Marcus represented Alabama in the Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition, our nation's largest with respect to intellectual property, earning third place in the Southeast region.
Marcus also held leadership roles in several Alabama chapters of student organizations including the National Lawyers Guild, Immigration Detention Defense Board, and the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund, which he cofounded as a third-year student.
Marcus brings a unique mix of experience to LLF Law Group's expertise. He interned under Chief Judge L. Scott Coogler in the U.S. District Court over two summers, assisted small business clients as a student attorney in his school's Entrepreneurship and Nonprofit Clinic, and performed legal writing and research for the Jefferson County Public Defender in Birmingham, AL.
Marcus has a passion for hip hop music and a strong zeal for justice.
